Rangitoto Island

Rangitoto Island under twilight glow (click on image for larger view). With views like this so close to home there is a lot to like about Auckland and the peaceful place on the planet we are lucky to occupy.

This image is comprised of 6 images blended to give a very large high resolution panoramic file. The image looks wonderful printed on fine art paper stock and framed.

Cyclone Atu

In late February 2011, Cylone Atu rolled down the east coast of New Zealand sending out a good pulse of swell. The inner city beaches lit up with some great waves for a few hours mid week giving rare quality waves to ride. As luck would have it I was confined to shore as I had just undergone surgery to repair my right arm. Still managed to drag out the camera for a few shots of the waves at Mairangi Bay.
